Rarely have I been so chuffed to be asked to speak at an event.
Earlier this year the team behind TEDxLondonBusinessSchool asked if I would be interested in speaking at their event in May at the Bloomberg Auditorium in central London (thanks in no small part to friend Brian Forde) . While clearly mildly terrified by the prospect of speaking as part of both such a prestigious series of (local) global events and such an inspirational line up, my fingers typed ‘yes’ quicker than my brain had time to hold me back.
As many of you will know I’ve been trying to articulate a vision for what open government and social innovation means to me and the team at FutureGov for some time. I wanted to take this opportunity to try and put it all together – in 15 minutes. No mean feat as you’ll imagine but I’m hoping I just about pulled it off!
Clearly there’s a lot more to say and a helluva lot more to do. But here’s my starter for ten.

‘Are you with us or against us?’ – Well I am so with you, nibbling away at a lot of things, including cheese sandwiches. Cracking talk Dom, well played mate.
Thanks Anne – I had a sneaky suspicion we were on the same team
Keep inspiring me!
“Militant Optimist”. Yes, absolutely. Great stuff.
Nice jacket!
Great to hear some LGov enthusiasm at LBS.
Will have confounded a few prejudices with that. Well done.
