Did you know that the “largest event dedicated to the information industry” is happening in London in a couple weeks, and not only that, but Simpl is taking part? Well now you do!
Online Information 2011, taking place from 29th November to the 1st December at the National Hall in Olympia, is the place to go for all your online information needs. Free to attend, the space will be filled with over 150 exhibitors from around the world showcasing the latest and greatest in the field.
Alongside the free event, the Online Information Conference, taking place in the nearby Olympia Conference Centre, will be a meeting of the great online info minds. With nearly 100 seminars over three days, covering subjects from library management and E-publishing to social media marketing and global business information, being led by some of the top people in the information industry (check out the full conference programme here) – who knew there was so much info on information itself!
And what about Simpl? Well, we will be taking over part of the foyer area of the conference, running two different Simpl Social Innovation Speed Dating workshops for those looking to find their networking soulmates. Run by the speed dating master, Carrie Bishop, this is sure to be a fast-paced and brilliant way to break the ice, share your ideas and resources, and link up with people to help make things happen. Similar to a regular speed dating event, our workshop will involve lots of moving around, rapid pitching of your ideas and bartering for resources, to expose you to as many people as possible and get your brains racing. Expect lots bustling about, learning about others’ cool ideas and making some great connections (and quite possibly a bright orange megaphone). It’s always exciting for us at Simpl HQ to bring our online matchmaking into the offline world, actively witnessing the Simpl system happening in real-time and through face-to-face interactions.
