Inspiring people to do more with film and TV

In 2019, BFI partnered with FutureGov to embark on a two-year programme to help redesign the core digital product, bfi.org.uk, and deliver a world-class service that inspires and enables people to do more with film and TV.

We’re thrilled to share that this week, BFI launched their newly redesigned website.

BFI Digital Transformation New Website

The screen industry is one that continuously changes and BFI is adapting to meet the needs of film lovers, directors and creatives through this digital programme. Supporting BFI on this transformation has allowed us to use design and digital solutions to meet people’s raised expectations for the future, which have been especially necessary as BFI explores how to offer a wider range of services virtually.

Working alongside the BFI digital team, and with the support of our friends at Deeson, we’ve been supporting the development of a new digital product including a new front-end design system and Information Architecture that will better serve their users. With accessibility and inclusion at the heart of everything our organisation creates, the website has been designed to meet level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2).

We’re proud to have supported BFI to redesign their website, the first step in our two-year partnership. Next, we’ll be looking to integrate more features and supporting the launch of even more digitally-enabled services.
